"As an immigrant coming to the United States in 3rd grade, I admired and appreciated the freedom that the Americans had. Growing up in Thailand, we had strict rules: hair length was above the ears, no ear piercings, no nail polish, and my least favorite was wearing a uniform. When we moved to the states, I began to express my creativity through my style. I enjoyed painting on T-shirts, and started selling custom hand-painted shirts in middle school.
When my only sister was granted admission to the US Naval Academy, I began to appreciate the efforts of our military service. Freedom of expression has become an integral part of my identity today as a modern day artist.
For this Memorial Day, when I was approached with the opportunity to collaborate with an ethical and high quality brand like Third Uprising, I knew that I would be able to give back to the people who have preserved our freedom. Together we want to say thank you to all our troops from the past and present for all the bravery they have shown!"
